There are starting to be adverts now that you can turn the internet off to certain devices in your household at certain times to manage how long can be spent on the internet, although this is primarily aimed at younger children and making sure they aren’t online all the day and night.
How do you, or do you actually, manage your time on the internet? How do you stop a few minutes look on social media becoming a few hours or a a day?
Have you ever worked out how much time you’re spending online in a social capacity?
During lockdown more and more people used social media to communicate with family and friends or anyone anywhere in the world. Join a kik or other group and there would always be someone awake in a different time zone to talk to.
Has that now changed how you communicate and find more and more is done online than face to face? |

So for me, I used to live a lot of time online, now I have no social media other than here, if you can call this that, and I feel so much better for it.
I actively switch my internet off at night to stop the temptation to browse.
Those who know me and I want to know have my number and other ways to contact me outside of the internet |

I don’t think I have a particularly addictive personality but I feel I spend too much time on here. It has a strong draw for me and sometimes I wish I could stop myself from reaching for my phone quite so often. |

My phone goes down around 7pm and doesn't get picked up again until the next day, I don't like scrolling before bed. That's the only thing I do to reduce online time, much of my work is online so I don't have much choice in the day.

I manage my attention on the things that are most important to me.
It’s 12:50 worked solid from 5-9 (after a meditation) with everything off (phone, email, music) & a single document open. Curtains drawn 3/4 so just enough light to work and everything organised and tidy before bed last night.
Then I trained and have been reading for 2 hours & work is done now so then left myself on fab but max an hour as I have a busy afternoon.
