Anyone really. I'm happy with studio recordings. Very rarely do bands live up to their studio versions and I can't be bothered with crowds, so my answer would be ...everyone |

I've gone to see Tom Jones even though he's not my cup of tea, as a friend was let down last minute and didn't want to go alone so had a free ticket. Would probably do so again regardless of the band |

I did actually used to be given money to go to gigs- even so, i flatly refused to ever do Queen, Simply Red or Beautiful South.
Did unfortunately have to do Liam Gallhaghers tour- what an absolute shower of shite...and that was just half his audience, i have no words to describe his attempt at music and singing |

"All of them. I’m past standing in those long queues to see anyone these days. Maybe Bruce. Nobody else "
Love Bruce but these days I opt for a sear. I don't know how he does it but I'm so glad he does |

I have seen acts from take that, Barry manilow, James brown, swinging blue jeans, searchers, edwin starr, odyssey all the way up to Rammstein, Metallica, Slipknot and not forgetting Pj and Duncan!!
So I can't say I would not see someone if given a ticket. It's a gig and I love live music.

I even went to see Rush on a freebee! thank fuck it was a freebee as I really don't like their music but enjoyed being with my mate who loved it!
So I can't say I would not see someone if given a ticket. It's a gig and I love live music.

I would never turn down the opportunity to see a live band or singer of any genre as you can always find something good or a story to tell from a live show.
Though studies have shown that on the whole, after analysing playlists and listening data, the study found that people stop discovering and exploring new music from about late teen to mid 20’s
For men, the most important period for forming musical taste is between the ages of 13 to 16. Men were, on average, aged 14 when their favourite song was released. For women, the most important period is between 11 and 14, with 13 being the most likely age for when their favourite song came out.
We tend to lose that open earedness to explore new music as we get older.
I for one have not lost this and still find the excitement of listening to and finding new music I may not like everything I hear but will always throw myself down that rabbit hole.
I refuse to subscribe to the view that “Today’s music ain’t got the same soul
I like that old time rock ‘n’ roll”
To quote Bob Seger.

"Coldplay or Adele…. Honestly would rather stay home and epilate my bikini line "
Adele… I used to say I’d rather slit my wrists than listen to her songs but I think I’ll use your line from now on |

I don't think I'd ever pass up the chance even if it was some as boring as say the Pet Shop Boys or Adele. Only because I've seen bands I couldn't careless about at festivals and then had a cracking time, Muse been one of them. |

U2
That said - I’d have loved to be watching them at Live8 when this classic exchange happened. I’m sure many of you have heard it.
Bono:
*click* “Everytime I click my fingers, a child in Africa dies”. *click*
Man with thick Scottish accent yells:
“Well stop f**kin’ doing it then”

"I've seen them all but Kiss in '88 without the makeup and special effects was not good at all. I'd not see them again if they went back to that."
I saw them in about 2018, full make up and effects....still utter shite |

Thank god for my ADHD novelty seeking tendencies and never having a favorite anything for more than a minute.
I'm always discovering new music and falling in love with new bands and artists.
To answer the OP - cover bands are top of my "hell no" list. |
