F**K Off Parrots
Jump to: Newest in thread
A flock of parrots at a wildlife park in Lincoln, which is arguably the closest thing to medieval living that we have in England today, has a parrot problem. The parrots tell visitors to fuck off and the visitors love them but woke owners are trying to re educate the bids. It's literally a case of killing the goose that laid the golden egg. Tom says, leave those parrots alone. Lincolnians are a simple folk and if it makes their day to have a parrot tell them to fuck off then so be it. What's going on here guys. It's all over the news, it's all over the news, it's all over the news ..... |

The woke brigade? Management have just decided that best not having a big group of parrots screeching fuck off in place where lots of young kids go. Apparently five of them doing it and if they hadn't split them up more would have learnt and joined. Amusing I admit but splitting them up is hardly very controversial really. The term woke has been hijacked and lost all meaning - just a silly insult chucked around for things of which somebody doesn't approve.
PS Gentle thinks Tom doesn't know the meaning of literally as well not knowing the meaning of woke, well unless I have missed geese laying golden eggs for real. |

We've never heard these particular parrots swearing - though there are signs up warning those who may be offended - but the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park is actually in Friskney (between Boston & Skegness) not Lincoln. |

Why do you think anyone would be concerned about that? Blackbirds are indeed black.
As regards birds named after bad people, we can't change history but we can choose our heroes.
If you check the latest urban dictionary, you'll see that "woke" is now defined as someone who avoids Gammon.

A bit defensive over the casual use of the word woke?
Sounds pretty woke does that |

Funny how the woke and BLM idolise Ghandi even though he was openly racist towards black people. |

All of the woke and BLM? most of them? some of them or not many of them?
I reckon I'm woke and I definitely think black lives matter (Blimey, don't you?) but I don't idolise Ghandi.
He definitely did some good things but as well as the reported racism, I think he was also a sexual predator.
He's not one of my heroes, but I'd rather go the "The Ghandi Arms" than "The Rose and Hitler." (I don't think either pub actually exists).

How many Ghandi statues have been pulled down? All lives matter not just this year's colour trend. |

Not all children come from homes where swearing is the norm, so I think it's a smart move to split the birds up, to prevent more of them starting to swear, keeping the venue welcoming for families |

To be fair, Ghandi was not all that he was built up to be. He only made one decent movie |

I read the article today and dicussed it over dinner tonight with a pal of mine from Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. He hadn't heard of it but plans to go there next weekend. Looks like they've got a new attraction on their hands at the wildlife park |

"How many Ghandi statues have been pulled down? "
I don't know! How many Ghandi statues are there in the UK? How many should have been pulled down?
Is it your argument that no bad states should be pulled down unless all bad statues are pulled down?
Are you really that interested in a statue of Edward Colston and willing to burn some heart muscle to ensure it should remain on display in a Bristol public square as opposed to a museum?
" All lives matter not just this year's colour trend."
Of course they do. If you feel strongly, you could organise an all lives matter march.
Just a quick bit of recent history for you.
The police in the the US were killing a disproportionate amount of black people in very dodgy circumstances. Some people realised that ALL lives matter, but thought that the US police didn't know that as they kept killing black people.
As a result, there were public demonstrations to try and remind the US police that BLM. That spread to other parts of the world.
It shouldn't threaten or upset you. Nobody was campaigning to make your life matter less.
Think of it like this. If I raise funds for research into prostate cancer, should people be yelling at me that all cancers matter and I should stop campaigning about prostate cancer because, well, you know, breast cancer.
I'd like someone to explain why they think BLM marches were a bad thing.
