60p for a bag at supermarkets. It's cheaper than a taxi to get home with my shopping if I forget to bring one.

Air. Free.

Albeit with unlimited pollution

Unlike water, which we pay, for shit to be dumped in rivers, the sea and onto beaches

By that do you refer to the obstruction of public rights of way or just not allowing access to land ?

All over

Not much is. And whatever is still a little8 is certainly of lower quality than ever was and served with a grumpy face sadly.

This…..

Nothing beats waking up on a mountain having spent the night at the best hotel in the country. En suite facilities sometimes a little sketchy, and sometimes the heating isn’t great, but all melts away at sunset and sunrise

As consumers we all have to be better.

Stop paying over the odds for things, they will soon adjust their prices when they don’t sell.

But long and short is capitalism has gone too far, companies are wealthier than countries.

Too much of the cost of an item is about paying dividends or making the rich even richer.

Buy what you need when you need it. Forget the luxuries that marketing people want to convince you to buy.

The former, which then brings in the latter..

Massive increase in the last decade which combined with cuts has meant that local councils have less resources to put right..

Council resources shouldn’t really affect this, it is the land owners responsibility to maintain access on public rights of way.

Around here they write to you and give you the opportunity to put things right in a time frame, if you don’t they do it and bill you.

Dubai & Nottingham

Interesting in most of my travels I can live very cheaply buying local, eating local/indie , avoiding the international brands, staying in homestays instead of hotels , £5-£10 a day all inclusive of food acom & travel - except for the UK.

Other than Wetherspoons I can’t think of any bargains in the UK !

Wild rabbits. They cost feck all you just need to catch the buggers first which is easy with help of a ferret or a snare. Great lean meat, tasty and free

Seeing as you've mentioned in another thread that you were/are in the Far East, I presume you're talking about places like Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and so on. I'm certain that it would be impossible in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong.

When I moved back to the UK in 2017, I found houses and cars here to be a bargain.

Where I was living before my return, the price for a garage would've cost more than a one bedroom house in Winchester.

The government's 'certificate of entitlement' to be able to own a car cost more than the price of the car here and the price of the car itself was about double the price of the same car here.

If you just eat rabbit meat you'll die of malnutrition. The meat removes nutrients from your body. (A fun Q.I. fact) lol
