I need inspiration. There's very little food in my house and I'm not sure I fancy doing loads of cooking after work.

I need a quick cook meal to cook - help!!

Beans on toast with cheese sprinkled over it.

If your really pushing the boat out stick a fried egg underneath the beans.

"Spaghetti with a big dollop of pesto, frozen peas and grated cheese."

Oohh I like this idea, I don't have pesto but can go home via tesco. Could have it ready for when Broadchurch is on!

Pop some pasta on, fry off some diced bacon then add frozen peas and a splash of white wine if you have some. Stir through a couple of tablespoons of creme fraiche and a handful of grated Parmesan then mix in the pasta and a splash of lemon juice. Job done

My son cooks up what he calls belly ballast. Any pasta in stock and adds some garlic puree chopped chili and diced cooked ham or chicken, or chorizo then scoffs it as a big bowl of soup ..... and only one pot and bowl to wash. Fast food for growing teenagers.

A toasted teacake with butter, and a packet of Monster Munch.

I snack in the evenings, as my main meal is lunch.

It's a really good quick tea as it only takes as long as it does for the pasta to cook, I tend to use shells but you can use anything plus you can substitute the bacon and peas for anything else you fancy eg sweet corn, prawns, tuna, smoked salmon anything you've got in really.
