This isn't just a moan, I've had some very good and very positive meets through FAB and clubs.
Lately though, it is just one cancelled meet after another. I've been ignored, blocked, dropped for a better offer, and blatantly lied to.
Is this just the way people are now? Or a temporary thing that comes and goes?
Honestly, it's not the way I treat people and not how I would like it to be. |

It's hard when a message is read and ignored, or even deleted unread. It's worse when there's a long chat and an arranged meet, then nothing or suddenly blocked. And it's becoming more frequent. My last 3 meets have not gone through, and patchy at best before that. It's bloody rude! |

I think it’s just that time of the year mate where people wanna meet for fun but all sorts get in the way. Low funds, seasonal depression, kids just back to school, miserable weather and all sorts.
Things always seem to improve here when weather starts to improve  and people over January blues |

OP - sadly you can never control or predict the behaviour of others. Sometimes someone who seems to be a good prospect turns out to be a twunt.
All you can do is block, move on and hope the next encounter and interaction is better.
It's been said many a time before but clubs work well because there's an abundance of potential new acquaintances there, rather than the 'putting all your eggs in one basket' approach of a private meet with an individual or couple.
There are plenty of good, honest and reliable folk out there. Finding them is actually easier than most think - it just takes a little more patience and upfront due diligence sometimes.
