"I had a heated windscreen i. A Fiesta some years back, I've had three brand new cars since none of whose manufacturers offer this as an option unfortunately. "
I may be wrong but I think Ford had patented that feature for some years but no longer has the patent so other companies started doing it only recently. |

Yes, my 2008 Mini has it. Some Japanese cars - Subaru and Lexus - have a heated panel where the wipers park but not as effective.
Am I sad for looking forward to icy weather so I can use it? ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

"It was -7 here this morning.
No heated windscreen but, car is electric so i can open the app and defrost and warm remotely.
Lots of EV haters on here but, this is one of the benefits
"
Yup Kinks's car is set to defrost and warm up for her before she even potters out the front door. Most beneficial in this weather. |

I loved the heated windscreen in my previous 3 Fords and the heated seats in the last one. I likewise said I couldn't do without once. However the current car, a Honda doesn't have either. However I love the car and its only a few days a year I really need them so can totally live without. Also my car is parked within a secure perimeter on my property so in the morning I can go start the engine and get it all warmed up and clear while I eat breakfast without fear (just don't tell Greta). Plus its parked undercover at work.
