What's your Uber rating?

Which just goes to show how infrequently I use uber.
Not surprising really given it's nigh on impossible to get one in the sticks and it's only something I tend to use when in Brum or Mamchester.
I am amazed though, as a fair few uses were after organised Fab group socials where all involved may or may not have been marginally inebriated, loud and slightly dodgily dressed.  |

Meh, I travel a lot for work and use Uber a lot. It was probably somebody who didn't like/understand my accent, because I am nothing but a delight of a passenger haha |

I was, for a while, a black taxi driver in W.Belfast. There they were(still are, but not so much now) a bit like buses, set routes and fares, jump on and off wherever you wanted enroute |

It was a 5. And then I started booking Ubers for after socials.
So it's now a 4.88. Am I bitter? No. I'll take 4.88 for the Hamilton singalong, the rambling soul chats and the making sure my chaotic friends are back safely.

I'm a 4.71 I think I have been marked down after having a row with the driver on my first ever Uber ride and the fact that I usually only use them with my dad who takes as long to get in and out of the car as the journey itself, bless him |

I've never moved in those circles but being realistic, getting on a bit, I could be in for a culture shock if I have to give up driving. Never bothered with a bus pass either.
I'm not pro active (in that sense). |

Careful with those ratings - some drivers won't take you if below 4.9/4.85 especially if late night and busy. I think making drivers wait or being hard to find is a big reason for lower ratings.
Not so easy to get around here. Once at a party a couple who didn't want to play and were a bit insulting with some remarks wanted to leave with was fine by most of us. However, took them about 90 minutes to get an Uber. 18 of us upstairs bonking away and occasionally in the background we could hear them in the kitchen swearing at their phone and assorted taxi companies at the delay |

The thread seems to filling up with people who either don't use it or haven't (allegedly) heard of it.
It makes a change for me not to be the sole misfit around. At least I admit to having heard of it, even though I wouldn't have a clue how to use it.
Although I don't lead an 'app' fed existence, I concede that such is the way of the modern world and if ubering is the only realistic mode for obtaining a taxi, then learning how to use it in advance of a distress situation makes a lot of sense.
I do know how to order fish and chips or a special chow mein by phone and then pick it up and pay with cash. That's about it! |

I won't be Uber constrained. Generally don't drink and always take my car in case I need to make a quick getaway. Bit like a bank heist without the stockings on the head. |

I'm not all that into them on here either tbh, I just went and got one to be able to talk shit on the forums. Beyond that they're of no use to me. |
