However, it is covered under RIDOR, but basically nothing happens unless it's a regular occurrence happening to multiple individuals.
It's still worth reporting though. |

Reported to ACAS, H&SE, Local authority/EHO, PROTECT charity, Law works charity and Citizens advice (3 hour hold on the phone). Each organisation recommended contacting the next one in line.
Sections 44 & 100 of the
After a frustrating week on online research and many phone calls this is getting tiresome.
Agency not bothered, placement not bothered either.
So, this is a bit of a merry-go-round. |

The inability to breath properly is just cause not to carry on working. |

Action depends on what the illness is; a large number of conditions are legally reportable and are listed in RIDDOR guidance readily available on the HSE website.
Also, RIDDOR requires a non-specified workplace illness to be reported if it causes you to be off work for 7 days.
HSE website has contact and advice facilities.
Another source of action / advice is your local council's environmental health office.

You are an agency worker, most companies won't bother to do anything regards health and safety.
Most agency companies are responsible for your health and safety, until you become a long term agency worker at a placement.
You might want to see your doctor, it will give you more weight when fighting the companies. |

I was at that placement for 49 weeks, so that's long enough to be taken on. That never happened.
As for talking to EHO, I did that on Friday, still waiting for them to stop dragging their heels. |

How do I do that when I don't work there anymore. I have wrote a detailed report and have 2 upcoming GP reports.
You can photograph a turd, but you can't photograph the smell. That's the level of frustration and difficulty, that I am facing. |

Maybe see if you can get an appointment with an independent occupational health advisor.
Also legal advice as even if you are a temporary worker they are legally responsible for your health and safety.
I'd definitely be contacting the HSE and asking for advice also.
There's plenty of unions around but probably won't get involved in issues existing before you joined I think??
