How long do people usually wait before sending a face pic?
We are a bit shy about sending face pics (especially locally) because of work and family. We end up chatting to nice couples and most want a face pic pretty early on and we feel a bit of pressure to send one otherwise the conversation will end. |

It’s down to you really, me and my partner have always said we would ask but then stipulate there’s no pressure in sending one till you are comfortable with it really |

It's not important to me from the onset or during any nascent chat or messaging. I've gone weeks before sharing a photo.
However, quite often when an opening message lands into my inbox and the woman shares her photo I will usually reciprocate if I'm ready/comfortable to do so. I don't think there's any hard and fast protocol. |

"We only send a face pic once everything has clicked and we are planning to meet"

I'm curious....how do you instigate a 'plan to meet' without sêêing who you are meeting beforehand? What becomes your impetus to share photographs? |

"We'll exchange face photos of we plan on a social meet, purely because we like to recognise them . Having said that the last few people we've met haven't asked for one."

I'm sure I shall recognise you with ease when we meet at Claridges...and long before we rendezvous at the Churchill Suite. You lubricious minx! |

Men are expected to send facepics otherwise message gets instantly deleted. Friendly chats back and forth. Until you finally asked to see their face and may be body pic. Oh, not your cup of tea, messaging has been going on too long.
As a general rule the longer it takes the worst they look. |

It's the age old dilemma.
It's understandable that people, especially in more remote areas with smaller populations may be a little more hesitant than those in big cities because of a fear of being recognised. Equally though there's always the worry that you'll be happily chatting for a while, either just via message on here or the phone, and when the time comes to see eachother above the neck there's just something that instantly changes any attraction.
I guess it comes down to how much a face really matters to you as a determining factor in meeting someone. It's obviously harder for couples meeting other couples, because there generally needs to be four way attraction - nobody wants to take one for the team.
The longer you leave it the harder it can become to say 'sorry, not for me/us' after there's been good conversation, so maybe it's best to get it out of the way early?
The golden rule of face pics for me has always been to never mix and nudity with them. Anything risqué is below the neck only. Anything showing my face is just plain vanilla and clothed. That way should the worst happen and someone decide to use a face shot for ulterior motives it can't be linked to any pics of me that would offend either of my long dead grandmas.
People will rarely arrange a meet, whether social or play, with no idea what you look like. But the choice on when you sens a face pic is personal. Do your own thing and never be pressured. The worst that will happen is someone will lose interest and stop chatting and there's always someone else who'll be more patient. |

That is excellent advice |

I prefer to swap early on. I need to find someone attractive otherwise I'm not going to want sex with them. And that's why I'm here. I find it awkward saying no thanks after swapping faces if I've been chatting to them a long time and we get on otherwise. It would be different if I was here looking for friends. |

I don’t mind swapping face pics quite early on but I also understand why people don’t want to. So I don’t mind waiting but will always want to see one before meeting or when the conversation gets to the point of arranging a meet |

My face is kind of out already so... I'd probably hope they'd send one not too long after a few messages have been exchanged.
Not in an I want to see if I fancy you kind of way, more an I want to see the person I'm talking to. |

I need to see a face pic first to establish if there is an attraction there. No point messaging back and forth and then eventually finding they are not your type. I’m attracted to faces and need to see people’s eyes |

I send one when I'm good and ready to send one. Had several guys this week message with attached face pic and then ask straightaway for mine. It was their choice to send one and it's also my choice to show my face!
I appreciate that is an issue for some people but tbh most chats on here die after 3-5 messages. I will wait a bit longer until I think I'm interested. |

"Does it not make sense to send one and ask for one as soon as possible to see if that attraction is there...
Ooh wait this is fab innit, that shits not important.....
Numbers game innit...
Mr "
Depends on the individual. I'm not currently meeting but when I was I would quite happily chat to people for weeks or even months before agreeing to meet socially.
I've never expected to or been interested in shagging everyone I have met for a coffee and in many cases knew before we met that it would never go beyond the coffee.
For that reason physical attraction is irrelevant.
Usually the only reason I have shared a face pic is that we could recognise each other in the coffee shop |

And that's cool if you want a pen pal....
Although my comment was tongue in cheek, I do agree with you, people use this platform in their own nuanced way.
Whatever that way may be, it's all OK
