No not the New Order song but today is supposedly the most miserable day of the year due to a combination of various factors such as weather conditions, debt level, time since Christmas, time since new year’s resolutions have been broken, low motivational levels, and the feeling of a need to take action.

Do you feel blue this Monday or just the same as usual?

.

No, I don't. I don't buy in to the Blue Monday shtick to be blunt, I think it's a marketing gimmick that was readily believed and easily sold.

Today has been a very good day for me. Lingerie has arrived and has been approved by a friend. I had an email about this weekend and that had me kicking my feet in excitement. I'm a bit unwell but I'm really rather happy. Not full on Tiggering but excited.

All good. No issues in work. Now home for a kip. I’ve had worse Mondays.

No OP, I don't. It's the same as any other disagreeable Monday for me; the generic 'Monday blues' referencing yet another apathetic start of the week. For me it's nothing to do with with all those factors that you have mentioned.

Although I'm curious to know what "...the feeling of a need to take action" actually infers? Is it a metaphorical 'call to arms' of some sorts?

I think it's reference to the whole new year, new me thing. Its very easy to say you'll change but doing it is another thing.
