If you think it's dry skin try E45 soap instead.

Just take one of the Canesten tablets, if it's thrush you'll be sorted in a couple of days.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

"I think you should go back to the DR. "

I think so too. It should clear up in 7 days, not still be hanging around.

You're not sleeping with someone are you? Could be cross-infection.

Indeed it should, no point in trying to self diagnose, as you are obviously worried, get an appt asap.

You can self treat for thrush with fluconazole 150mg capsule from the chemist. Or go get a swab at the STD clinic and they will give it to you.

If you say you have self treated with Canesten and it's failed they will give alternatives.

I had candida for a long time due to severe illness and medications I was on. Drinking daily Yakult, talking acidophilus, garlic capsules, and the odd swig of apple cider vinegar all help.

But go get diagnosed first. ")

Sounds like its thrush. So technically it is sexually transmitted as males don't get it on their own, only when infected by women who have it. Get to the chemist and get a tablet for it, then do not have unprotected sex for the term stated on the leaflet. It's one of those nightmare things where you can easily pass it back to a partner and keep re infecting if you're not careful. I used to suffer with it badly and then would pass it onto my then partner so for a white our best bet was using condoms x

There are different strains of thrush infection and clotrimazole may not work on the type you have. That's why I recommend the pill fluconazole where possible. Other creams include miconazole and ketaconazole.

Just go back, or maybe to the StD clinic. Hopefully if you explain they can give you the right thing, and maybe for free!

Agreed it is easiest to catch it from someone else, but you can get it after a particularly hard course of antibiotics, as candida is caused by an imbalance of 'good' bacteria.

Not always our fault!

You might be better off going to the STD clinic. They are experts in that area(unintended pun) and are more likely to get it right.

At least you'll know for definate its not an STD.

Good luck,

If you say you are still having symptoms they should get you in quickly. But Thrush is passed sexually, men don't just 'get' it .... So use a condom for now and until it's gone.

It's a rotten thing to deal with, good luck

My ex had a problem similar.. he would get a sore dry spot on his cock.. that could sometimes get very sore and dry.. it looked similar to thrush..

however what we found was causing it the most was his cleaning regime.. he was basically using to many products.. and was told to use a ph balanced soap ( very small amount) and water.. and not do it to much... SOunds silly but it worked..

However go back to your doctor and maybe pop along to your local clinic and get some tests just to be on the safe side.
