Does anyone know why the production date of movies at the end is always in Roman Numerals

It’s to disguise the date of production. when movies were less widely promoted than they are now, people weren’t as aware of what was a new movie v one made several years prior. It also helps with global distribution in counties which don’t use our numeric system. |

Because it's a practice that was started by the Romans when they were making films centuries ago
