Any sim racers out there?

What shoes/trainers/socks do you wear to drive?

I have a full VR sim set up. Normally just wear socks, have done it in heels though too.

Edinburgh (She/Her)

Went sim racing once with my kids.

Threw up within 5 minutes!!

It was all the motion stuff my body just went, "fuck no! Unnatural behaviour, here's yer lunch!"...

Insert vomit emoji (I'm old I'm not clever enough to know how to fucking do it)...

Ha well I won’t be playing in heels lol

Need more than socks but all my trainer’s soles are too thick

I used to wear boxing shoes to the gym because they have thin soles, they're probably good for sim racing.

Depends what pedals you have too, mine aren't super expensive ones so the resistance is quite soft. I only really use it for drifting too so socks work best for that for me. Thought of driving my actual car with socks id horrifying though

Just socks usually! Race boots/shoes are generally a bit OTT in most sims as you won’t need to exert the same force as you do in a race car

Thin slippers, or converse/pumps are a good option.

Yeah I’m leaning towards converse or skate shoes so far
