Natural process, human caused natural process, natural trend, whatever you want to believe the earth is experiencing warming.
It’s effects are going to not only kill millions, displace millions more but decimate millions of species and plants
Millions and millions and millions
Yet despite this, people are more concerned with a bad cold (for the many)!
I mean fab even has a virus section! It’s insane. |

The virus forum isn't that well populated, and to be honest its population is mostly people complaining about an itty bitty prick that most of them didn't take anyway.
There are wars going on and people are scared of an itty bitty prick? |

I did a documentary about the Copenhagen climate summit, cop 15 maybe? For a university project about 14 years ago. We sailed straight through a point of no return with a percentage of carbon in the atmosphere then.
The problem with humans as a species is that you have a large percentage of people who are incapable of comprehending something they haven't experienced. So when you say, "this will happen in X years" they can only think "well I've never seen that so it's false".
As a species we also survive by adapting but not preventing.
I came to terms with it a while ago that a climate disaster is inevitable and we'll just have to figure it out after due to our nature as a short sighted and selfish species. |

As suggested what ever you want to refer to
It. But just for simplicity we will call it climate change (no hidden agenda). I appreciate that most UN data on this only really references very short time scale (in terms of earths billion(s) years history) and a multitude of other factors must be considered.

I guess it’s hard to comprehend 10,000, 20,000, 40,000 years in terms of an individual and civilisation.
Am I write to say (I’m guessing you know more than me) that we are now seeing earths response to what should be an ice age, with massively increasing methane emissions from decomposition release in what was previously glacial trapped organic material
Carbon dioxide emissions should not be the principle focus but methane scrubbing? |

Sheeple are anyone who don't follow lockstep with whatever the speaker says, no matter how many other people do or don't believe that thing.
The fact that the "sheeple" are the people not conforming to one particular viewpoint is somewhat ironic.

Everything bad that happens is proof that global elites are trying to make them miserable, because reasons, and we shouldn't try to solve problems. We should stand up and say No.

The Earth warms up and cools down naturally and always has over the last 4 billion years but of course humans in their stupidity haven’t help Mother Earth much in the last 300 years so we all really need to stop and think how can we help.
Personally four years ago I used to put six black bags of rubbish into landfill every week but now it’s just one bag a year.
Not much but if we all do something it will help.
I’m nearly dead but I still care for you younglings.
But to be fair I do like the warmer weather.

Well, I mean, it sure that’s part of it
Let’s not forget the part where we burned millions of years of stored co2 in the space of a few 100 years
Took millions of years for all that plant material to collect carbon from the air, turn it into mass, then die, then turn into fossil fuels over many more millions of years, and we just crushed it like nothing. I think that matters |

Plus, I’m not a huge fan of this reductionist mentality
As if the only way we can fix this is by reducing ourselves to nomadic tribes again
The only way we fix the climate issues is innovation. Not reduction. |

Starting to get a bit miffed with it all, I recycle my household and work rubbish, I drive an electric car, my works vehicle runs on HVO, the engine auto shuts off when not in use, my fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer are A+ and A+++.
What else would you like me to do?
Had enough of the BBC force feeding me their line of climate change when they go on about it on a nature program, when bussing a film crews all over the place of a 30 seconde news clip.
The only bad electrical item we have is Tracey's plug in black wand. She's got a very hard clit to please.

"When are governments of the world going to realise that the ONLY way to reverse what's happening, is to stop chopping trees down.
It is this, and the near total destruction of the Amazonian forest, that has been to blame.
Plus, I’m not a huge fan of this reductionist mentality
As if the only way we can fix this is by reducing ourselves to nomadic tribes again
The only way we fix the climate issues is innovation. Not reduction. "
No need for us to be nomads again, just leave the trees alone, and let them do there job, taking in the carbon and giving us the oxygen. |

Could you imagine how long most people would last if we all went nomadic again? Walking down the shops is a step too far for most people - finding out that they have to carry their house as well as rummaging for their food would literally kill off 99% of the population of this country. |

Probably not a bad thing to be fair |

"Climate change is real and it should be the worlds' premier concern.
It’s snowed yesterday. We’re not idiots
This is parody...right?
Depends if you think it’s snows in a warming planet. Think we’re the parody for believing it
You're confusing weather with climate.
Ok sheeple
Are "sheeple" people who understand climate science?
I think sheeple eat the grassle"
And have sex up the arsehole |

I think I read somewhere that 100% of the science ( the proper stuff) agrees it’s real and about 80% agrees we’re a major contributor.
Anyway it’s real and we need to act.but who are ‘we’ to act. Remember the hole in the ozone layer, it didn’t get fixed by a few middle class people buying solid deodorant. Plastic bags and bottles ? The governments could just ban them, we will use them as long as the shops sell them to us.
In the meantime chill, when it becomes serious , the people in charge will fix it |

You voted the wrong people in then, could always vote the Green Party in or join a larger organisation that cares like Europe, they seem to have a plan.
You tend to get what you ask for in a democracy.
Failing that you could keep voting Tories in , but sine overpriced solid deodorant and cross your fingers |

Climate change is real, the science is there if I got a thermometer out myself. So that I believe.
Everything also and the reasons behind it is a great argument to sit and listen (or read )
I just do my bit and make choices that I believe won’t kill this gorgeous planet quicker than we will. |

Just to confirm. I've never voted for these self servicing pricks. |

"Follow the money. Leaders have generally been doing next to nothing "
funny how "follow the money" only applies to conspiracy theories, usually, not stuff that actually means anything.
It fits rather well with climate change! |

To be fair, it could fit here if it means “follow the money of the fossil fuel industries into the pockets of governments around the world”
There’s definitely a lot of under the table funding going on that isn’t to benefit the worlds climate |

Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry.

"These problems only affect the rich. Meanwhile the people who struggle to find food and shelter wouldn’t give two hoots.
Problems for the the privelaged."
Poor people are disproportionately impacted by climate change. |

And plenty of over the table too.
In 2022 the fossil fuels industry received 123 billion Euro in subsidies.
