I've had a tooth ache recently, really one of the worst kind of pain.
As other have suggested, clove oil is good but it doesn't taste very nice at all.
I would recommend something called Orajel which you need to by in a chemist and its around £5 for a small tube but its pretty good; it contains Benzocaine so it anethetises and doesn't absolutely foul like clove oil does. |

Boots sell them. I bought my ex a kit. They start a fiver up, depends on the brand. Worked for my ex til he was able to get into the dentist a week later. |

pain killers rarely work on toothache because its in the bone (thats my theory and possibly not medical fact )
clove oil is rank and nearly made me throw up a work once so will ever ever touch it ever.
you should be able to access emergency dentists through the NHS, perhaps ring NHS direct tomorrow?
in the mean time you could try soaking some cotton wool in vodka and placing it on the gum wher the pain is. |

Take Ibuprofen every 4 hours and in between take 2 Paracetamol every 4 hours, so you will be taking no more than 8 of each per day. Don't take them together though. |

The pain is pressure from the infection you got setting in.
Speak to the dentist and ask what anti biotic you should go for, you will get amoxicillin or doxycyclene - both soft tissue anaerobic antivirals - double up on the first dose. Go to your doc for the prescription and tell him what it's for.
That should calm it down in 2/3 days but for the pain you want a gram of ibuprofen every 4 hours (that's 1000mg) as a max and the same of paracetamol. That should help to make it bearable. |

There is a pain killer called karpak best painkiller out there as it relaxes and helps you sleep to.
If your painkillers at the mo have codine in them don't take as codin irritates the nerve. |

I think you should calm down on advising medicine... Could potentially be dangerous :-/ best advice see dentist or doctor if non toothy problem
Anyways glad to hear OP is sorted they say pain can be physical or mental but then toothache is both |
