I find it more irritating when people boast about a posh car, or a great standard of living, or their pics seem designed to show off their house just as much as them. I'm supposed to be meeting them, not their bank balance. |

I got told off by a forumite for questioning why a chap referred to himself as "solvent" in a first message, because he was "just trying to display his status"....what?!  |

I don't mind if people boast or are confident about certain things and choose to use that to market themselves.
I reserve the right to think it's utter tosh when I read it but I'm all for people liking themselves. |
