At communicating? How are your communication skills? I'm reading an interesting book about it ATM and it's something I think about a lot as a writer too.

What are your communication top tips?

I’m better at writing them down.

In person I’m quite reserved, unless I’m absolutely tamping (in which case it will just be anger coming out).

I am brilliant at communicating. Just a shame everyone else is terrible at understanding me.

I think I’m a good communicator, in that I can articulate my point/s. However sometimes I have selective mutism so I’m not always desiring of communicating them.

The key thing, I think in communicating, is understanding the difference and nuance of intent versus how something is understood/received by the listener, and the fact that your intent doesn’t negate someone else’s receipt of your words. Communication, good communication, is in the exchange and bringing forth of mutual understanding.

Not as good as I used to think!

Sometimes I forget to listen actively, and in my excitement to identify with the speaker, I realise afterwards I was just waiting for a gap to speak, rather than Really listening

Um.

I'm good at communicating in so much as I make genuine effort to express what I think and feel to the people who should know it.

I'm terrible in that the way I word vomit and express myself is somewhat off kilter for most people and sometimes people struggle to interpret what I'm saying in the way it's intended

Agreed, so many misunderstanding come from people not thinking about the receiving part of their communication and assuming it is understood in the same way it is intended. Clarification goes a long way

You and prey to the fairies are both describing a very ADHD experience.

Verbally I think not too good in English. And in German I would struggle as well now.

Written moderate.

Tip for communication.... If it's an important written one sleep a night over it and read again before sending.
