Yes, but it’s been a journey 
It doesn’t mean you can’t keep improving yourself. I’ve had a lot of counselling and mental health support over the past 18 months, learning to accept yourself is part of working on yourself, that’s one of the first things they went over with me. |

Mostly yes, but not always.
Mainly physical features I don't love about myself, but nothing I can do about most of them, so accept them.
Accepting it means knowing it, and often people take it as negativity.
I like who I am and I do most things with passion. Some people find that intimidating.
I debate favorite doughnuts, favorite bands with the same passion as fight against racism.
I work on it to scale it down to more people friendly levels, but it's a process.
I do have filters, but some things shouldn't be overfiltered.
Some likes my passion, some hates it.
Can't use too many filters, because that would kill the passion for all.
The haters would still hate, but the fans of my passion would lose interest too.

I've been thinking about this a bit lately, do I love myself, how do I know if I do or if I don't?
Then I decided that a way of knowing that I love myself is by showing myself love and actually telling myself that.
There's a mediation called loving kindness which just basically means having warm loving thoughts about yourself.
Also there are other ways I can show myself love, like self compassion, being easy on myself in difficult situations, doing things for myself and trying to remember to have these warm loving thoughts about myself, like I would someone else.
How do other people show themselves love? and not the mucky kind. |
