Not uncommon these days for socials to be open to all, except single men, the people organising pick the ones they want to turn up
It’s just to limit the amount of single guys so everyone gets a fair shot I think |

Exactly
I get it’s probably a little disheartening when the forum tells guys to go to a social then the socials are invite only
But at the same time, I don’t think it’s gonna do anyone too much good if there’s 50
Single guys to every women/couple |

Maybe they’ve been over run with single men, maybe they’ve had a lot of interested messages from people they think won’t even turn up (hello again single men). |

Strict rules. Must be verid by people they know.
Limited singles. Full up but I wouldn't qualify anyway. Not sure how common these events are |

Tbf there is no reason why you couldn’t or shouldn’t just arrange a social gathering yourself. I used to joint run one back in the day (feeling old now lol). |

The key is consistency, they take a while to build up and get going. People tend to take more interest when see something regular rather than a one off. |
