Old bands (still active)

No secret, that my favorite is Scorpions.

60th anniversary in 2025, if...

I will see them this year in London (UK was left out for years) and most likely they will retire.

Singer's (75) health is declining, but still hits the notes, just sounds weaker.

They were active throughout their entire career, not like Rolling Stones.

Which old (40+ years) bands do you like?

Possibly ones are still active or active again.

Would you still pay to see them live?

I'm a fan of rock, blues and metal, but you choose any genre really.

Hell

I’m hoping that Aerosmith will schedule a UK leg of their tour after cancelling their 2020 dates.

And I’m off to see Mr Big in a couple of months

South Durham

I saw Suzi Q just before Christmas, she's still got it.

Tom Jones a couple of years ago, it was to all intent and purpose, a rock show. He was fantastic.

I saw Scorpions years ago, it was a fairly Spinal Tap show for them.

Eric Martin's regular tour with Avantasia helped to put Mr.Big back to the map.

He's a good singer.

Oh my!! … I remember seeing Scorpions back in 1980 … it was an awesome gig!

I recently saw Midge Ure at his ‘70th birthday gig’ … he still sounded fab … and yes he could still hit the high note on Vienna!

There are some however that really should give it up! … and rest on their laurels now!

Saw Dr Feelgood not long ago.

Also saw Rush the last time they came to the UK, unfortunately they aren't active anymore....not as a band anyway.

I saw Status Quo a few years ago and had the same thought...only Rossi left!

I saw Aerosmith supported by Mr Big in 1994 in Paris. Then again the same tour but supported by Extreme.

I swear I'm not old.

Extreme will support Scorpions, so I need to check them out before.

I know 1 song from them.

I didn't say I don't like Rolling Stones, but I wouldn't count them as active in decades.

I will see them at some point.

They are the "underrated" little brother of Deep Purple.
