Tin town

Have you availed yourself of any training, classes, YouTube, education.? What have you learned as an adult recently? Was it worth it? Did you enjoy it? Any cake or popcorn making skills.?

Hell

I YouTubed a tutorial on how to change a coil pack, leads and plugs. It looked easy enough but I didn’t have the right equipment to remove it. £170 it cost me at the garage

The Town by The Cross

I watched YOU TUBE for reasons why my shower ran cold....... determined it was the thermo. Took the cover of my shower, took photos of all the wiring and the thermo .... bought the thermo and a set of teeny weeny screwdrivers ( more like alan keys - no cut in the heads ) and changed my own thermostat.

Bingo ... hot water

East Sussex

I have nearly always had some sort of learning thing on the go since leaving college . Ranging from patchwork and quilting to archaeology, palmistry, tarot and Japanese and many more. Until recently it was traditional classroom based learning or from books but YouTube and Duolingo are way cheaper and easier to access so I mostly use them now

Lack of the right tools is one of the main problems with anything like that isn't it.

London

Loads of videos from youtube and other training platforms, both for professional related skills and for my own entertainment (mainly drawing courses). Some of the totally free stuff you find on there is on par to good uni courses!

"Trying" to teach myself Ukrainian - completely different alphabet (cyrillic) makes it tougher.

Try to learn a new recipe every week, latest is cesnackja (Czech garlic broth)
