Another "Block" tread with a twist
Jump to: Newest in thread
So please tell me the silliest reason you've been blocked for/or blocked someone.
Also is there any point to block someone pretty much lives on the forum?
I mean someone probably would never messaged you anyway for multiple reasons.
*
By the way I'm pretty sure it's not against the rules to comment on someone's thread who blocked you.
Unless you just want to chat them up.
***
Save the serious blockings from this thread please.
This supposed to be fun or sad.
Not too serious though.

"I just block people I don't want to hear directly from.
Sometimes it's just a single comment that gives me that ick feeling."
I've only blocked fellas offering me blowies so far.
Which is a sentence I'd never pictured myself hoying out. |

Do you ever change your mind or think it happened it the heat of the moment?
I mean it in general, not any person in mind.
I did unblock a couple of people.
I could block plenty of people from forum because of 1 or 2 comments I didn't like, but unsure what would be the point. They don't like me, so unlikely they will message me.
About some actually I changed my mind recently in both, positive or negative way as well. |

Oh. Yes. Once or twice someone I blocked after seeing a few comments that I heartily disagreed with, but then I started to see and understand their humour more, and have since become friendly with, even if we're definitely never going to fuck.
If someone says something directly to me in a message, I have a lot less room for forgiveness, there's no reasoning out the playing to an audience in private. |

I don't hate or dislike anyone forever. (Except my father + some nasty people from my private life, but not a long list)
I just kind of counter hate.
Someone pushing me, then I push back.
Someone makes steps to be nicer, then I react the same probably.

I don't hate anyone. Apart from occasionally the people I love.
Feeding off someone else's energy is a pretty natural reaction. I come across fairly cold and hostile to those who don't know me, so I tend to provoke hostile responses. It is what it is |

It's more apparent in direct messages I think. I don't think I'm quite so intolerable in the forum. But then usually if someone has messaged me uninvited I'm considerably less open than I am out here |

I dont block. I just never read messages, and no- one could offend me enough from what they said on the forum. I wouldn't know the reasons I get blocked as I doubt they would explain anyway ![](/icons/s/razz.gif) |

Yes. If the topics/comments irritate (or whichever term) me, that makes them incompatible, chances of a private communication are slim, but i’d sooner not risk it - BLOCK ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I never hate someone for disagreeing with me.
Unless they're being childish or offensive about it in comments.
Even then I try to ignore them, if possible.
I rarely use the block button.
Not much point on forum anyway.I know you're not a fan, but still often you give the best responses.
Hardly ignore people, if you have something to say.
I don't judge you in a bad way.
The opposite actually.
The only one who surprised me so far.
Don't take this as a love letter.
I'm alright with vomiting words sometimes as well.

I block for lots reasons.
Not interested in them and they didn't get the message the first time in my inbox.
Or other shite like they slagged me off in messages to someone who then told me or showed me and they were quite horrid in their comments.
There's loads more. I listed them on a thread not so long ago. Probably in my last 35 somewhere. |

how do you feel after in a situation like...
Good comment/thread, then you want to comment too.
Until you see the name of that person, then you hold yourself back....etc.
Doesn't feel childish/weird/stupid at that point? |

Not really, its a forum where everyone is entitled to express an opinion and everyone is entitled to engage, it just means I want nothing more to with said person(s) outside of the forum ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Those are the shit stirrers usually who are changing sides, whichever is more comfortable.
1 is friend this week, then the other one is friend/future FWB the other week.
Many things seem worse than it is, if it's removed from the context or missing previous messages.
That's my experience.
Probably you will be the bad one the following week.
I usually try to avoid all involved in this kind of games.
To old to be involved in petty games, plus there's no prize usually on the end of the tunnel.
I always lose anyway, so I just move on.
I wouldn't block someone who would never contact me anyway, but obviously I know nothing about things like this.
Everyone does whatever they want.
I'd rather be blocked, than get involved in games where 2+ against one and the game is rigged from the start.

I'll block if someone contacts me when my profile clearly states I have no interest in their qualities.
But I'll also temporarily block someone if I'm getting negative vibes back from someone. But that's to stop me from accidentally pestering them. I call it a personal time out rather than a site timeout. |

How would I know why they blocked me?
As for blocking, I only block based on what people have said in the forum, and how they align with my views on life. |

I've blocked because they keep messaging me even though I never replied. Or they've said something offensive and I've reported them too
I got blocked today because a guy didn't lack the lack of effort (in his words) i was putting in my answers. I told him it only matched what he was giving me. |

Shit stirrers changing sides? Who's sides? On what?
Friend to FWB? Interesting. I need to get my head round that one....are you saying a man would shit stir to get in someone's knickers? Or do women do this to men? Or shit stir with other women? Nope I'm not following this one, explain?
If previous messages and context are removed...some sentences still read shit no matter what the context.
Game? Rigged from the start? What games?

When I first joined Fab I went on a meet. We didn't hit it off at all.
I then noticed women were only interested in verifications and the lady I met a month or so later put on her status 'will only meet verified people"
So, despite not hitting it off we had a nice chat and a drink I asked her if she could verify me as genuine, in line with her own policy and many others.
She blocked me. |

I've blocked someone because they said they didn't like football.
It wasn’t just that, they used the same well-trodden classist tropes about footballers & the fans in order to justify it, that you hear from bitter rugby followers who cannot fathom why egg chasing isn't seen as the most interesting thing you could do on grass by most people.
I know I've been blocked by someone because I made valid criticisms of their favourite football team & they were unable to handle it ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I like my egg-catching to be classless, and my football to be spectacular.
Sometimes, they both happen. |

Don't like their profile pic.
Cheaters.
Too local.
They are a twunt.
They looked at us 15 times in a hour.
I just don't like them.
Cock profile pics.
Minging cock, vag or arsehole.

I generally only block when someone's harassing me, or if they are putting up (in my opinion) vile pics that I don't want to see in my updates.
No idea why people block me - yesterday one of my pics was fabbed by a profile I hadn't seen before, so I thought I'd ninja on in there for a little looksie only to find I'd been blocked! ![](/icons/s/2/eh.gif) |
