How many is enough?
Jump to: Newest in thread
So when I get a message that I find terrible (no effort) or I'm not interested, I delete them, without replying to them. Most of the time I get a second and a third and too often I get 6, 7,... usually I block at this point but I'm curious to see when they'll stop. How many until they think enough is enough? Thoughts please!

To be fair most messages I received from women were "How are you?" or "What are you looking for?" or just "Hello/Hi".
I also had "How big are you? " and "Send me a face/dick pic ".
Also women are kind of revengeful when turned down by a guy (3/10), because they expect ugly guys will do anything, anytime, anywhere with anyone.
Most of this kind of threads bashing single guys.
90% already gets nothing.
Some deserving it, some doesn't.
It's true for women and couples too, just simply they can afford to send stupid messages and still have options.
I'm sorry you had bad experiences, but not all guys like that.
Someone messaging you more than 3 times, then that's probably too much.
A second one can be a thank you/sorry to bother.
A 3rd one can be weeks/months later accidentally. Didn't realizing they messaged before.
More than 2 within 24 hours probably deserves to be blocked.
If you delete their messages without reading or shortly after, then they are humiliating themselves to message again.
I used to block women doing that, to avoid ever contacting with them.
When I spent checking their bio, writing tailored to them, taking the time, then either read+delete or unread+delete. Usually I deleted the unread ones after 1-2 weeks.
Kind of made me give up messaging completely.
I need a really good reason to message first.
Never sent a dick pic in my entire life, unless someone asked.

Fluffy managed to hit the record of 2 days worth of begging apparently. I’ve applied to put this in the fab archive as the world record
For me… if I’ve said no I sometimes block… sometimes it stays yellow forever…. I can cope with that |

You have answered your own question? You bin them between 6 or 7 messages because you are curious in some way in why people are persistent. |

Also, there was someone I didn’t reply to at all who sent no less than 14 messages before I blocked him for his own good |

Then you find yourself in the fora trying to write reasonable, well thought through contributions. Ah well. |

After the second message
sent two hours after the first saying something like "wakey wakey". Cheeky fuckers!
If any man replies to this thread saying "why not just reply and say no thank you" - I do. Lots of times. And then they ask why. Or have a go at me. Or message a week later. |

If you're interested in reading them, you could block everyone from messaging, read them, reply to whoever then open your filters back up |

These are usually get skipped, no matter how long they are or who's posting them.
Women try to deny / ignore the fact it isn't just men.
Men afraid to agree and ruin some chances with women.
All the bad man and all the angels on (women) here.

"It’ll never be enough until you take a chance. They’ll always hold out. It’s in our DNA as men. "
No it really isn't in anyone's dna to choose to ignore a "no thank you".
Not sure however why there is so much drama and so many threads about the same thing, week in week out. |

Yeah... That's really annoying. No reply = not interested. |

If the occasion does arise where I send the first message, I'll send one and delete it from my sent inbox so I have no idea what was done with it and can forget it quite easily. |

If I ignore a message, they're blocked if they send a second.
Especially if it's quite quick
Some will keep sending messages till the end of time, depsite that stop think you've messaged this person 325 times and had no reply alert. |

I know of a few academics on this site. Why should you be surprised? |

About the same way you know it's in all men's DNA. I
suspect our science education is approx the same. I studied science at the institute of fab fora. It made me competent to spout bullshit on many if not most subjects. |
