I looked at a profile today to see that it was blocked. This surprised me as I couldn't remember blocking them. Then I saw that there was a private note, so I clicked it to see: "The guy's an absolute bell-end."

What are some of the reasons that have caused you to block other profiles?

I've only ever blocked 3 people.

1 guy messaged me to purely be abusive and insulting.

Another guy kept asking for gay sex after I repeatedly told him I was straight.

And a women replied quite abusive and insulting after I messaged her.

Filters went up for a long time after that. Took them all down recently. Not because I want messages from men etc, just I was having genuine, non swcual conversations with a few guys about the scene/advice on clubs etc

Reply privately (closed, thread got too big)

By (user no longer on site) 39 weeks ago

So many different reasons…

They’ve sent a private message that was skirting the lines of seeing me as a sex worker.

General twattery of all sorts.

They made plans for a coffee and didn’t follow through to confirm. I lack patience with peole who make plans and still haven’t confirmed two days before. Either, you’ve got the time and will see to it that you make it to the coffee with me or you can fuck right off. I’ll help by blocking you.

Abusive messages after I’ve politely told them I’m not keen.

Non stop message senders.

Asking for pics.

Begging to be given a chance. Begging is never attractive.

Sent me their unwanted cock pics. Your cock alone does nothing to excite me. It’s a picture. I had no part in making it hard. I don’t know you. Your cock can’t be the most exciting thing about you, and if it is; you’re boring.

Goes around asking others about me. Ffs, if you want to know about me ask me not others.

They view my page excessively. Two hundred views from one person in two hours is bordering insanity.

I’m sure there’s more but those are reasons I’ve blocked most recently.

I block for several reasons including:

Body shaming

Meaness/rudeness (not only to me but in general interactions I've seen)

Also, if I know we are not going to get on etc

That doesn't mean I won't happily chatter away in the forums with people though. I just don't see the need to share our profile further with those blocked.

Contrary to the popular approach the majority on my block list are "popular" women.

I have blocked some for inane status updates so it keeps that page tidy and relevant.

Some are there for stupid and aggravating forum contributions.

Some for contacting my verifications and asking for personal info on me and others for already having that info and sharing it with their circle.

Some just because they aren't used to being blocked so I thought it might be a new experience for them.

If I message someone and they say “ not for me” I block them.

I don’t want to message them in the future and look like a dick.

What are some of the reasons that have caused you to block other profiles?"

I don't really block people thankfully not too many people who have forced my hand if at all

Majority of profiles I blocked are just because I know their needs and my needs don't match. Unfortunately that's the only way on fab to hide them from search results.

I don't block. The only person is an ex partner I met on here. He creates a profile, pisses women off (also messages me pretending not to be him), then creates a new one when the profile inevitably gets shut down. I recognise him a mile off. He's the only block ever. Random people, I don't care enough to.

If they message me with a proposition I absolutely will not entertain under any circumstance.

Anyone messaging me about something I said in the forum that they didn't like. Whatevs, bye felisha.

Absolute randoms messaging me asking when they're coming round to my house. How about never?

Absolute randoms or people from miles away demanding a meet right now.

Mine is quite long; I tend to block if

- they have a profile pic that looks like an axe scene from ‘Vikings’ (come on ladies, I want to savour it, not be eaten by it).

- they live very very close or I know them (discretion assured though)

- they are not interested (so I don’t message again)

- they can’t take no for an answer or get abusive just because they don’t meet my preferences (we are all allowed preferences).

I tend not to block, with the exception of ex BFs (2 haha), someone being a total idiot to me (like offering to pay, being very insulting, harassing me after being asked to stop) or the rare very horrid person based on their forum posts

Offered drugs?! We've never had that!

We've been offered money, but that was off the back of a forum thread where someone misunderstood what Alice was saying. But I can't say it happens a lot, at least not as much as it seems some people experience it.

Never been offered drugs, but at our age it would only tempt us if it was strong painkillers. I'd prefer a nice jar of posh coffee, tbh!

I recognise and acknowledge you meant well in what you said to the person concerned.

I would not block you for saying that but I would lose interest in you if you had said that to me.

The statement you used unfortunately does not convey what you are trying to say. Just for starters, I would not want to be chosen. approached based on being older, I might want to be approached for being interesting, different, smart, witty, funny... any of those are great.... being "older", "mature" etc is not a compliment.

I didn't take it in the wrong way, actually the opposite.

Any advice from a woman might get me closer to know what women want.

I just made it clear I don't think like that.

It wasn't just a message.

We were kind of chatting (She approached me) and the chat got a bit meh.

So I made it clear the ange gap isn't an issue, then suddenly I was blocked and returned the favor straight away.

I think it was more like "wearing hat, not wearing hat" scenario.

*

Bunny and the bear joke?

*In a nutshell*

Bear beats up the bunny, because he's wearing a stupid hat.

Next day the bunny isn't wearing the stupid hat, but still gets the beating.

No reason, just because the bear could.

(High chance the bear was a twunt.)
