I’ve just had to pay 50p(!!) in my local shopping centre for the privilege of it. And of course I needed to moan about it.

Yes. I think it was 20p. And I remember the toilets were so grim. I'm surprised that of all places it is in a shopping centre you have to pay!

I don't mind paying for the loo when it's about maintaining the facilities (although 2 Euro is too much).

I do fucking mind when it's just an anti homeless measure. People gotta pee when they've got no money, too.

I remember back in the day when you had to spend a penny to use toilets... fast forward last year we had a short break in Berlin..€1 to have a pee.. shocked but absolutely spotless facilities.

Waterloo always used to be 20p per deposit. Not sure if it still is. I get they have costs with cleaning and maintenance, but surely dignified peepeepoopoo is a basic human need. If you anticipate service users being around for a while, give us somewhere to do our dirty sinful business.
