Another vote for Max Cherry, Robert Forster played him so well. Strong and vulnerable character very difficult to play but done perfectly by a really talented actor.

My vote for his best film as well.

When he watches her drive away, no words his face says it all. All the way through the film we see both sides of his vulnerabilities and strengths. Yes I’m slightly in love with that character.

Agree with the shouts for Jackie Brown for best film but, best character...

My vote goes to Hans Landa for Christoph Waltz's superb combination of sophistication and psychopathy. The opening scene of Inglourious is also a directorial masterclass in sustained tension. Derivative, yes, but only a director with a full command of the medium produces a scene like that.

Too many as others have already said but one performance I think is superb that is often overshadowed by other more major roles is that of Major Dieter Hellström in Ingourious Basterds wonderfully played by August Diehl.

Dafinately Alabama in True Romance, by far my favourite flick of all time along with the incidental music and extreme violence, suck an iconic movie

Some great choices, so many to choose from. If I HAD to choose, I would go with Clarence or Jules.

Favourite scene being "Sicilians" in True Romance

Sophie Fatale.

She’s only a small part but there’s something so sinister yet mundane about her. The way she’s so business-like about crime.

I’m sure she’s the inspiration behind a few of the characters in “Succession” too.

This thread has inspired me to go watch a few films I haven't seen in a long time, some characters mentioned I don't remember very well it seems.

Some great choices in here otherwise though! 'Tino can write/develop some really good characters! I'd almost forgotten how many..

Honorable mention for the border guard, chet pussy and Carlos from 'from dusk till dawn' memorable for me for all being portrayed by cheech marin a nod to those old grindhouse and b movie horrors that had a habit of recycling actors in the same movie
