I've posted silly and possibly cheeky replies to your posts OP when you've started threads in the Scottish forum. Not on this occasion.

In all honesty I don't think there is such a thing as a functioning alcoholic. Your alcohol abuse will still be negatively impacting on your relationships and life (never mind your health). However kudos for owning it.

If you can live your life in that way OP then big up to you. You know your own mind; your own body; and if it suits you then kudos to you.

If you want to change it then there are people out there who can help you… but only if you want to change it. I know. Because I was there once. So I applaud your honesty

Luckily for me I don't self medicate with any substance.

I hope you manage to stop being alcohol dependent for many reasons.

Going by some of your threads op I guess that sometimes you function better than other times and I hope that you can get a handle on your addiction because addictions and harm and hurt a lot of people.
