OMG, that's absolutely horrendous. Luckily I've never been told or had someone disappear on me that's actually meant a lot to me.

The closest I can compare is a couple on here who really enjoyed our meet only to hide their profile afterwards

Did hear from them months later to say how they had thoroughly enjoyed the meet and how they talk about how much they loved it, all the time, only then to disappear again.

It does make you question yourself.
