I can see how missing the word not if you were trying to say "I'm not a Nazi" would be damaging.
But, in most other circumstances, would a quick clarification not right the wrong? Must be some typo! |

I once knew my work colleague was on a bit of a bluff for half a day, but was informed our big boss was going to be in his vicinity by sheer coincidence. I text my colleague with words to the effect of 'watch your back buddy, 'X' is going to be in your location'.
The problem was in my haste I actually sent the message to 'X'

I (Jake) do most of the messaging.... I let Becky do it once, and for reasons unknown she asked the couple what their backstory was.
I'd been getting on really well with them and they were smoking hot... One message from The Goofball and they ghosted us.
Lesson learned though. Whenever we're messaged by someone we're not keen on I let Becky have a go to scare them off. |

I’ve done this!! My phone is usually to blame for autocarrot mistakes, but sometimes my brain is working way faster than my fingers and I miss out 1-2 words.
I don’t think it’s ever stopped me progressing chat with someone worthwhile. And one would have to question the sanity of turning down your offer of filth, OP, probably in the breath after moaning about “no bloody women ever want to meet…” |

I don't think a typo has ever fucked it up for me on here, that I'm aware of anyway. Some people did just stop chatting though so maybe it was a reason, who knows. |

As for me? Yes. Apparently I’m always making gaffs and being misread via text message. The frustration is that people always want you to give them the benefit of kindness in reading but don’t give the same in return.

Yeah not so much a typo as the wrong words at the wrong time in a time of extreme stress so was prone to overthinking and being a tool lesson learned never reply to a message instantly when either stressed upset or d*unk or all at once it will haunt you in the end |
