Reports that a politician wants the Darts final broadcast free so that the poor can watch it for free. When Tom was a boy, the poor went to the shop window of a TV rental shop to watch the cup finals. Now why can't the poor go to th local branch of Currys to watch it. They will be in the warm and Tom remembers watching on cold streets. And what of those who have paid for the privilege to watch. How will they feel if suddenly the poor get to watch for free. What's going on here guys. It's all over the news

The Igloo

The “poor” usually have a 90 ultra HD/full sky combo on the wall. Usually used to watch the likes of TOWIE, Geordie Shore, KUWTK etc.

All they have to do is lobby the sports minister to do is put it on the Crown Jewels list of sports that has to be shown free to air

I am still disgusted that certain events were taken off… for example, a home cricket ashes series should be on the list

I am not going to bite on the poor people comment because the subject itself is an interesting one… because people are going to complain this summer there is too much sport on because the euro 2024 football and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are both on the Crown Jewels list

Anyway isn’t the “shit” darts tournament the BDO still on the bbc after the PDC tournament on sky has finished?

Kettering

Some of the dart tournament are shown on terrestrial TV. This is a major tournament so I understand why it's only on sky. I'm lucky that I can still afford sky. If I had retired then no way could I afford it. As pensioners are still part of the poor in this badly run country

Do the right thing Tom and offer the poor some of your alcohol intake to keep them warm whilst outside curry’s.

And you might be all over the news.

But does this alcohol fuelled event really set a good example to those less fortunate than ourselves

Was it Rumbelows and Radio Rentals Tom?

Did you also gawp at the huge 28 inchers in a wooden box? With push buttons or ultrasonic remote controls that only had mute and channel up options?

A remote control with a 3 metre lead plugging into the VCR. (It was probably bought of as 9' then).
