Are young people as fascinated or is it an age thing?

Was that supposed to be ‘the sea’ or ‘Theresa’?

Either way I don’t have an answer. Just more questions.

Because youngsters keep asking them about it after watching too much TikTok.

We moved to live by the sea when I was 59. The fascination was that I could sit in a deck chair showing my bloomers while eating a 99

That doesn’t seem right? They’re only thinking about it because they’re getting asked about it? So then their answers would be… never? No?

I was in knott end years ago with friends and it was absolutely packed with elderly people. We could see the top of a slipway from where we were and maybe a dozen or so old folks wondered down it over the course of an hour or so but we never saw one come back up. We theorised that it was what they did when their time came, they just sort of got in the sea. Perhaps that's why seaside towns were so attractive to the elderly. They know their time is close and they want to be close to those welcoming depths.

I've always loved the sea, ever since being a kid.

It's allure captivates me and I could literally sit for hours and watch it. The sound, the smell, the wildlife.

You can sit in a deckchair and lick an icecream.

That’s what those old style postcards always depict mature folk at the seaside as doing.

Because as you get older you seek more peace ( well I do anyway ). Go sit on a beach listen to the sea, if that doesn’t relax you and bring you peace, your way to stressed out for this world.
