Reports from a place called Angus which shares it's name with a breed of Scottish beef cattle, that a cat killer is on the loose. 5 cats were killed in December alone in an area of Forfar which is famous for capitulating to both the Romans and the English in days gone buy. The RSPCA of Scotland are warning cat owners to be vigilant and Police in Scotland are warning that killing cats is illegal. What's going on here guys? It's all over the news |

The first thing I’d do is question under a heated lamp the neighbours of all those cats who’ve died.
Because sure as eggs, they will have been pooping in a garden that they shouldn’t be pooping in, pissing everyone off. Then it escalates, and ends in tears. |

I think you'll find Forfar is more famous for it's wonderful bridie.
Or maybe even for invading their garrison and slaying all the uninvited English. Isn't history wonderful Tom? |

"There was another serial cat killer quite recently in London....he's been jailed for 5 years. Who would hurt a defenseless animal or any animal " I blame the owners should keep the feckers in

I think they should be able to let their cats out without the fear of them being murdered....we've never said that when there's human serial killers - that we should all stay in & not go out.... |

Or for their football team beating East Fife:
East Fife 4 - Forfar 5

"The RSPCA of Scotland are warning cat owners to be vigilant"
If they really had the animal's best interests at heart, they'd be warning the cats, surely ?
Either way, pretty sick indeed to harm animals like that and as all the serial killer documentaries say, "they always start off with animals". |

Just because they say that then it does not mean it is true.. |

Good point. To be fair, none of the serial killings I have read about on the news in recent history have mentioned the perpetrator offing a zoo and then going on to their local high school afterwards. Thankfully. |

I’m surprised that someone who lives in Essex even knows that Scotland exists or even knows where it is.
Considering he could even get basic details about Cornwall correct in a previous thread…. |

True. Statistically likelier to be a man though, let's be honest.
Please share those stats ?"
Oh c'mon ffs Tom. Are you seriously suggesting that there is no difference between the sexes when it comes to cruelty to animals? Link being sent. |

It’s a known trope that an individual often starts their journey into violence with animals, before building up to human beings. It’s important to find the perpetrator for the sake of the cats, but also to ensure the violence doesn’t escalate into a serial murder |

I fear he or she has already made the leap.
It’s truly amazes me how many missing people are eternally classed as just missing.
I mean a proportion probably are. But I imagine a significant number have unfortunately fallen fowl of a sinister demise.

Is there evidence for this ? |

Tom may be wrong but no compelling evidence here |

We're 15 miles from Forfar, still in Angus. Some people just really hate cats. Plus it could be somebody that's laid down some pest repellant or control spray that the cats are digesting.
Hopefully the source is discovered or it was isolated to these 5. |

It took me a while, but I think I've finally realised that Essex Tom is, far and away, the most authentic person on FAB.
The lie wrapped in the truth wrapped in the lie that is truer than other truths.
He holds a mirror up to our own prejudices and anti-prejudices.
How much Hegel and Laurence Sterne he's read is anyone's guess.
And I won't ask him, because I'd be disappointed to receive any answer other than a gem of irony and paradox.
Good morning Essex Tom. |
