As we all know - when someone leaves the site any veri's they left you will also depart!
Now recently I've seen a spate of "I/we had some veri's but they've gone - here's what they said" on profiles.
Do people really have photographic memories or do people actually cut and paste these into a word document on the off chance people leave the site?   |

bit mind boggling eh. i seen one on someones profile where a lot of "veris" were in their profile, but they had the actual veris on the bottom....why say it twice? lol |

On the Fabswinger.com feedback forum there's a post about veris disappearing and someone suggested this very thing. C&P your veris in case someone leaves.
Also seen a couple of profiles where the person in question states at the top 'check my verifications to see how great I am'. I like veris, show lots of them, but I'm not that attached to them!  |

We've got one on ours, but the lady who left it announced she was going to be leaving Fab a couple of days before she went, so it got C&P'd for posterity.

If people really need to copy and paste any verifications and save in a word document, then quite frankly I'd suggest that swinging has become a little overwhelming  |

Sometimes people tell you they are going to leave. I've had several guys who gave me veris but warned me when they were leaving. I didn't bother copying what they had written as I don't think they really count unless they show as veris - I mean, anyone could write their own and claim them as real, so who would believe it? |

I guess once they've gone its gone. I've lost a few good ones that says more about me than the fun times we had, but hey ho that's life!
If they've moved on then so should we. Plenty more ppl to see and things to do!  |

I think it's hilarious when people have them in their actual profile. How can you know they are real?!
Ages ago I put a load of funny 'pretend verifications' on my profile cos it just made me laugh.

Yep - a previous meet of mine copied the veri's from his previous profile, and then pasted them into his new one. Weird thing is if I google my username it finds his profile, and I think it must be because it says it in the text of his profile (mine is set to be unsearchable). Have lost a couple of really nice veri's because people have left the site, but that's just the way the site works unfortunately |

Well, in our case it's also there to remind us of what someone said, rather than for being purely for the edification of others...it's a nice and honest reminder of the experience, so it really doesn't matter if it's believable for anyone else.
The temptation to correct the spelling is almost more than I can stand, though! (M) |

balderdash. I recently got a new single profile and just mailed a previous contact to give me a simple veri to start me off. If you can't get a re-verification .... well need I say more |
