In the waning hours of this year,
With a smile, I'll shed no tear.
For all the debts that went unpaid,
Consider them a gift I've made.
To those who've wronged, with lessons learned,
No grudges held, no bridges burned.
If anger's arrow was aimed at me,
I'll say you won, with humility.
Silent friends, though words may cease,
In your journey, find your peace.
And if my actions caused you pain,
I'll wear the cloak of sorry's stain.
For those who spoke of me, in jest or rave,
Your words were but free ads I gladly gave.
Left hanging? No, I've found my stance,
In solitude, I've learned to dance.
For drama's lure, if I'm the bait,
Unfriend me, let's not tempt fate.
To those with whom joy intertwined,
In the new year, our paths aligned.
Life's brevity, a poignant note,
On waves of time, we all must float.
Cherish those who truly care,
For in their hearts, our joys we share.
So here's to 2024,
With open arms, I'll greet its door.
No regrets, just lessons fond,
In the New Year, let's all respond.
