The case
I have resin
duck 4inches in tall was on my window sill outside came home from Christmas with my family to find said duck on the ground decapitated we has sever storms or storms over the period.you say blown off the window will you'd say crashed on the ground head comes off.sounds feasible but no because there no head.blown away you say but other smaller items were still in place.so who killed the duck and where is the head . |

A magpie,knocked if off and took away the head,probably in its beak,the body too big/no grip to carry. |

I've torn down Maggie's nests and found cigarette packets,crisp bags,bailer twine,bottle tops,Airfix type toy soldiers,Dinky/Hot wheels cars and all sorts of random stuff.If they can pick it up they will fuck off with it |

The problem with the magpie
Theory is I've lots of small items simlar size to the head that have never been touch got at least ten items
From pine cones to small ornaments all still in place .

They only go for things that(for whatever reason attract or appeal to them).I have seen one nest full of what you might expect,anything silver,foil,ring pulls etc,but others full of red/orange,bailer twine,red lego brick,piece of broken brake light glass etc,other nests full of multi coloured random stuff. |
