As we reach the final days, how has this year been for you?

Been shit for me, Dad passed away suddenly after a long illness.

Had a few meets, not as many as we would like, hope to change that next year.

.

It's been swings and roundabouts.

My mum died in October, we knew it was coming, so we were mentally prepared.

Due to my mum being gone, I no longer have to put up with some toxic person popping over whenever they feel like it, and me feeling like I'm walking on egg shells.

It's been a difficult year in lots of ways, but also incredibly freeing. I do have some hope for 2024

2023 can suck my ass.

Full of illness, sad friends that I can't help, no money. Yeah 2023 sucked.

2024 better be good.

Spent a lot of time in clubs and fucking people.

It was fun here and there but I think ultimately I havent been very happy within myself so I was using it as a distraction. Not inherently a bad thing but I'm taking a break as it wasn't really helping with my mood.

I’ve hated this year. Waking up every day has been a struggle of some sort.

Financial positions have created nothing but stress, worry, tears. Troubles with my daughters educational needs have given us the same stresses. 2024 ain’t gonna be much of an improvement either.

It's been weird.

Regrets and tears over never replying to message.

Finding and losing again a guy I was completely in love with.

Letting go of the last 10 years of my life.

I don't think I've had a year where I've cried as much as I have this year.

Bollocks to 2023!

Fair play. Sounds grim. But on the positive side, no one pulls off "Minstrel Crotch" the way Mr John Wick pulls off "Minstrel Crotch" .

Considering I’m the type of guy who can’t let go of my past, 2023 is going to be something I look back on and try to deal with in about 10 years time with a therapist.

I'm sorry to hear that OP.

This year has been great. I turned 40 and to celebrate that I did some amazing things. I went to Nice with my friend and met my kink 'agony uncle' we put the world to rights over a bottle of wine by the sea, I saw Micky Flannigan and Jimmy Carr, I went to see the Arctic Monkeys and then I went to different cities in the UK for random nights away with family or friends as well as a nice relaxing week away in Derbyshire. I loved it!

Kink/sex wise until lately it could have been better. Next year I want to go to some clubs, I'm excited and want to try them out. I want to meet people in a club event. I want to be emersed in that atmosphere. I can't wait to try the St Andrews cross, I want to go on a spanking bench or any other equipment that there maybe as I've not been to a dungeon. I want to be tied down/restrained and not have a choice (within my limits-i do have a safe word). I am really really really excited to try it all with him. So yep, I'm a bit excited looking forward to that as it's so new.

Mixed bag……

Went with family and friends to Disneyland Paris for my daughter’s birthday, which was great.

Work has been mental, which is good for income but has felt overwhelming at times…. so just alright on average.

Had some house renovation calamities however, along with too much money going out and it being yet another sex-free year…..those aspects have been crap.

Where the flamboyance of flamingos live

It’s been a mixed year for me. Work has been harder than ever and facing redundancy in 2024. Health wise peri menopause is not fun at all and has taken its toll on my health and body.

In terms of love I’ve been fortunate enough to meet someone early in 2023 and they are amazing and I love them so much.

I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2024.

with one foot out the door

A better year it started with a bit of a mental rebound as most years do i became a 3 time champion and proved even at my age i still have it and gained respect in the eyes of many i lost the curse job but found one that was better in the end and focussed most of my energy into the smalls so probly better than the 2 before but they are just moments in time so remembering them is what matters to say i was here

Like a lot of people we haven't had the greatest 2023. However this has been the pattern of the last few years now.

Just hoping for 2024 to bring a little sunshine back into our lives.

We lost both our Dads within 7 days of each other at the tail end of the Pandemic. As sad as it was for me and my fella at the time, we felt sadder for our children losing their surviving grandparents at the same time.

In 2022 my fella suffered a tiny stroke, not a TIA. He was told he would fully recover but unfortunately this 'tiny' stroke was in an important part of his brain and its impacted greatly upon him and sadly looks like it will for a long time.

From there it's just gotten worse. They searched for the cause of his stroke, whilst he was told he was very young to have a stroke.

Months later hr found out he had an irregular heart beat, called AF but also that his heart was under 'strain', so essential he has suffered some damage to the heart.

So whilst the last few years have been shit, we have also been lucky. He could be dead, it could have been so much worse. He can't work, drive or look after himself like he used to, he is still surrounded by his family and mates who he loves to bits and they love him.

We have lost family members but have also been blessed with 3, soon to be 4 new arrivals into our family. So chins up, carry on and be happy for what we've got, which is a lot.

Thoughts go out to everyone who has had their own tribulations.

2024 is going to be good, we can feel it, Mrs x

2023 has been wild.

Went to my GP in March and was in surgery just 8 weeks later, having a fairly sizeable cancerous tumour removed and my large intestine resectioned. I was ridiculously fortunate that I didn't require any additional therapy after surgery.
