Chelmsford

Reports that the so called Lancashire accent will be all but gone in a few generations.

Lancashire was famous for it's mills and soot but the old accent is virtually undetectable amongst young people. Are the young in Lancs trying to sound posher like their Yorkshire neighbours. What's going on here guys. It's all over the news

Seems to me that most kids want to sound all gangster rapper wherever they are from. MLE - Multicultural London English - has replaced the Cockney accent and seems to be everywhere. Hate it.

I think they should start showing George Formby movies in primary schools to teach the children how to speak.

Ive lived in both areas as family is both red and white roses.

So ive spent plenty of time in both areas

Ive also delivered in lancashire as well.

Theres is a place where even i cant figure out what they are saying as its true lancashire.

Also ive delivered to many places wales, scotland, on m25 and had very little issues except for that place.
