Yep lol.. I loved the endings when he sticks his aerial out the dustbin for the night
If forgotten that. What was his little sidekick called?"

In the UK, the title was changed to "Boss Cat", as there was a brand of cat-food called "Top Cat", and the BBC didn't want to be accused of surreptitious advertising.
All they changed was just the title-card, and at the end of the closing credits, there was always a very obvious jump in the song where they had to snip out a "Top Cat" title-card. |

I’ve got a mate who was a copper - I call him Dibble "
TC used to say "good morning officer Dribble.. I mean Dibble" |

At all Go stations over here when you are filling up with fuel there are a few old TV ads playing on the screen on the pump.
The only 3 I have seen so far are one for McDonalds, Michael J Fox's Pepsi ad and a Halifax one when TC and Benny go in looking for some "moolah". |

"Uk called it Boss Cat in adverts due to Top Cat catfood. Made no sense as Top Cat was in the credits!"
The cat food manufacturers should have left it alone. Free advertising for them! |

Brilliant show and a pastiche of Bilko. If I remember right the gang were Top Cat, Cho Cho, Brain, Fancy Fancy and Benny the Ball.
TC sounded like Phil Silvers, Benny like Doberman from Bilko and Fancy Fancy sounded like Cary Grant.
My favourite episode was 'The Unscratchables'. |
