I haven't read a book in over 2 decades but for Christmas I was gifted a couple books written by LBC James O'brien.

How they broke Britain is a great read.

I'm not sure tbh

I rescued it from a charity shop. I was told once that I'd read toilet tissue if it had writing on it.

It's interesting and I'm reading it with an open mind.

A couple of days before Christmas one of the National Trust properties we visited had a book lucky dip in their second hand bookshop. For £2 you picked a wrapped parcel with two books in it, each had a label giving a clue to the type of book. I chose history and have 'Heresy' by S.J.Parris and 'The Templar' by Paul Doherty to read. Whoever wrapped them included a small bar of chocolate.

I thought it was a great idea

St Leonards

I only read about 5 books a year, max 10.

Usually a few on the go at the same time, so right now it's Tristram Shandy, by Laurence Sterne, Simulacra and Simulation, Jean Baudrillard, and a few pages into The German Ideology, Marx and Engels.

They're all comedies of a sort, at least one unintentionally .

"The Secret History - Donna Tartt.

I'm really enjoying it so far - it has all the elements of dark academia I love. Proper basic Lana bitch reading. "

So far actually not a bad read there's 8 books in total I think so got plenty to read and it kinda brings me back to the days of me as a kid reading goosebumps

"Backyard Starship, currently on book 19 of the series. "

Great series, should be made into a tv series, would be a huge hit.
