Grey general waste bin day for me, although I need to check they aren't running behind.
Next Wednesday will be brown recycling bin.
I don't pay for my green waste to be collected, there's too much and I'm letting it grow to help the wildlife.

"Bin colours... Today is green bin day... What's yours and what does it mean?
Green here is every kind of rubbish other than "green". "
Half way down the street because the wind keeps trying to steal it. |

"Green is green here I assumed they all were? Black is household, brown is garden waste, green box is glass. Today is green"
Now you see... Green being green, and the same everywhere... Would make sense wouldn't it? But it isn't... Colours seems a bit random depending on local authority |

Green is general waste, blue is recycling, on alternate Mondays. Brown is for garden and food waste, fortnightly on a Friday. The bins are 400 yards away behind a fence at the end of the driveway. Takes over 8 minutes to walk there, put the stuff in the bin, and walk back again! |

Solihull and Brentwood |
In Essex, we have a huge white velcro fastened sack that takes cans, plastics etc.
We have an identical one but in blue for cardboard and paper.
We also have very old and small green bins for refuse. Plus brown ones for garden waste. And a very tiny blue bin for food waste. |
