I've heard the mens body type for 2024 is The Going To Seed.
So I'm afraid all that hard work from you younger men that spend hours in the gym has gone to waste.
Gone is the 6 pack.
Gone is the Dad Bod.
In is the Raunch With The Paunch.
Start drinking those beers fellas..... |

Like squats again as it had dropped off the end of this year and everything felt so bloody heavy!
I think it may be linked but I have some glute aches that I am going to go see a man about in the new year and get some pre hab exercises to do.
Burpees are my fitness goal every year lol
I'd also like to do just one box jump on more than 2 plates lol
Nutrition is my main goal next year now.

Did a ton of tennis last year after a 30 year promise to myself (which included Pilates/yoga/HIIT to improve the body for a higher quality of tennis).
So, escalating that further, especially once we get towards end Feb/March - October. |

Hi all
My goal is to carry on with no booze.
I’m currently at 6 months alcohol free. It’s been challenging, especially over Christmas.
I’d like to lose another stone before April and then carry on with the weight loss and strength training.
I’m not expecting to gain loads of definition but it would be nice.
Mrs has said she’s gonna join me in toning up so hopefully some fun days and night ahead |

"Menopause blood tests first, I feel different, so I'm hoping I'm out the other side now. Once the hormonal weight has dropped off, then its going to be core strength building again "
Up here, doctors won't test bloods for menopause |

Continue with weights to protect joints, yoga to improve flexibility, posture etc. There comes an age when mirror muscles are less important and longevity of good health is the priority. |

I started at the gym on 5th December and have since been 12 times - it's habit forming, I'm trying hard to get fitter, lose some weight and generally be more healthier after being told that if my blood sugars continued on the same path I would be placed on insulin.
It's been challenging, but I am enjoying it and now have my gym routines going to almost an hour. I've also got myself a couple of dumbbells and an exercise bike and I've been given an ab cruncher from a colleague at work that I have added into it. Long term I'd like to lose about 10-15 kg from my 100kg frame I've managed to nudge 2kg off so far! |

Keep going with the fitness routine I started last year gym classes, bootcamp and small group training
8th January I’m joining a beginners running club to prepare me for a 10k I have in May
Finally found plié dancing lessons not too far from me so that’s also a possibility |

No but that’s pretty much what I look like now though. Probably a bit slimmer actually. I wore it the other day and it was a bit looser. |

To try and master front crawl,I can’t seem to get anywhere with it and feel ridiculous when I try!
I can do breaststroke easily but front crawl is just not coming to me.
Overall goal is to be able to do a 1000m in a swim session.
I can do 500m in about 30 mins but after that my form sucks
Any swimmers about? |

Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters |
To actually have... some?
I was thinking maybe trying out CrossFit. There's a few fairly nearby. I've sent emails out but no replies... they obviously don't want the business?
Or maybe it's me?? |

Drop a few kilos and regain my previous aerobic capacity. I've got some big mountains lined up for this year.

(Midnight, just four KM every weekend and you'll smash it!). |

Gain 5-7lb in lean mass is the primary goal.
Depending on how rehab of various minor niggles go I may have another run at competing again in bench only for a UK title. I'd need 177.5kg under 90kg which I reckon I can do. Hit 180kg at 93kg last year before it went down hill. |

I might have got my maths wrong i need to look at this year's strava and then round up. I do around 60km a week in summer... But around 5km in winter |

To be honest, I saw your profile pics and thought with your shape you should smash 160k in a month!

I think just gradual improvement on all my lifts. How my body looks will probably come second but it's mostly about keeping with the consistency and seeing where it takes me. |

2023 has been a tough one in fitness terms.
Cancer scare meant I lost all motivation, ended up losing weight and a lot of muscle.
2024 goals (good to write them down so I’ll make myself accountable to them)
- gain 2 stone
- keep some abdominal definition
- do at least 2 leg days. I did 1 in 2023.
Tenerife in mid-March is giving me some extra motivation. |

2024 is going to be a mental and physical struggle.
I've gone from running and playing football 3 times a week to be told that I need to stop.
I've been diagnosed with arthritis in my right hip, which has been given me excruciating pain throughout the year.
So no more impact related sports.
I'm stuck as I really don't know what to do now

I'm just hoping to build up to half-marathon level. Currently able to do 18km at a decent-ish pace, just need to grab those few extra kilometres! Also hoping to increase my muscle mass as currently I look way too weak and there is nothing worse than a weak looking femboy. I can only do 50 push-ups and and 120 sit-ups, quite frankly thats just pathetic for my standards. |

I’d like to lose 5-6kgs but my biggest aim is mobility and flexibility for sure.
Years and years of footy have abused my body so range of motion is appalling, that’s my biggest goal this year for sure. |

To get my body in as healthy state as possible in the next few years before hormones start to take over again. I'm not looking fwd to menopause but I'll be definitely prepared to face it in many ways when it rears its ugly head .

I lost just under 4 stone this year, so the plan for next year is to crack on with that and lose some more.
In terms of fitness; I want to tackle it on all fronts! I especially want to work on flexibility as I think that will have a lot of benefits long term.
I suppose I really want to do the things I enjoy; swimming, cycling, lifting heavy things
