I think it’s a bit like asking who your favourite band is. Only weirdos have one fixed, definite favourite.

Bill Hicks would be up there for me. So would the Doug Anthony All-Stars.

Used to love Jasper Carrot. A funny story teller more than one liners. But hilarious ??.

Rik Mayal, loved him from his Kevin Turvey reporting days.

Stand up....Bernard Manning was a master .

Currently it’s Jeff Arcuri. His crowd work is brilliant. He doesn’t roast his audience like some do, not a prick like some are, he’s playful with the audience and if he thinks he’s gone too far he will apologise, it’s quite cute.

"Chris McCausland has me in stitches"

I saw him locally last summer. Unfortunately he absolutely bombed. His whole time was very downbeat, no energy, no originality.

See jack dee the following night and he was outstanding

"Frankie Boyle"

Which one? The one that used to be on tv? Or the reinvented one that now tries lecturing everyone?

I never liked the cheap laughs he used to go for, like the comments about Rebecca adlington or Katie price’s kid.

Billy Connolly, I don’t think anyone tells a story as well as he does, his way with words, timing, body language and ability to go off on a tangent and still return to the original topic with flawless ease will forever make me laugh not to mention he’s Scottish

Not a fan of the Archers , so hadn't heard that. pity he finished with the comedy. But then , with £50 million in the bank , can't blame him.

I have many comedians i like but my fave at the moment is Jim Brewer, if you havent seen him give him a go. I have watched hours of his shows on You tube and had to stop them many times as i was in agony laughing. I also love Ricky Gervais, i know he is not everyone's cup of tea but i think the guys a genius.
