But there’s lots of people on here that post double edged posts. They obviously can’t name who they are talking about., so they generalise as much as possible but make sure that the person will think it’s about them enough to hurt the person they intend to.
And the op posting threads like this ( and other authors do too) leave it open for posts that I’ve just described.
Op- can post what you want nobody can tell you not to, it’s a free world, and always within the rules. . It’s up to other people if they reply or not.

Honestly find it quite disappointing on here when people try to trigger other people, on purpose or not. As a joke or not. And what is hurtful to the indirectly addressed person doesn't need to be felt hurtful by the poster.
Just would love people to think a bit what they post, no need to hurt people. Just be nice, you never now how the other person at the receiving end is feeling!
I am saying this as a relative newbie without knowing most of the background stories but such negativity seriously puts me off discussing matters in a mature non sarcastic way.

If you disagree with someone and you are not getting on, maybe exhausted other ways of communication, maybe blocked.
Why would one continue in the forum? I mean if you see someone you really really dislike in a pub you would not go over to join in in their talk just to argue for the sake of it? It would be really weird in RL so why do people do this to each other on here?

The funniest thing is- I didn’t intend the post to be entirely about the forums.
I mean there’s a small part of me and I thought everyone that can relate to the whole - getting along just for the holidays (family).

That is so the holidays though.
Putting on the front. All smiles for the family. Playing games with cousins or aunts and uncles you don’t even like usually. Gift giving. Then don’t see them again until next year. |
