Just made up the present pile under the tree and it's looking pretty good! It's the first year since my daughter was born I've been able to comfortably buy her everything she wanted (she was born not long prior to covid happening, I lost everything with the lockdowns and it's taken me crawling my way up through 2 new jobs) but this year I've managed to get her all she deserves, and she's a fking amazing person, so it's a pig pile.

I can sleep well now.

Goodnight, and happy Christmas.

It happened with others too, but I'm happy you managed to get up and get what you want for your family.

Good feeling when you can do this. Is it?

I am really happy that you're able to splurge and that you've (at least mostly) recovered all you lost after covid.

Just remember though that kids don't need a tonne of expensive stuff to feel loved/worthy.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas x

I still find that the best bit.

Especially if it’s a piece of modern technology, I have more affinity with the paper and the box it came in.

I know, there's not a day that passes where I don't tell her how loved she is or how proud I am of her. It's just nice to be able to manifest that at Christmas with a big pile of what she wants and thankyou, have a lovely one yourself x
