Some are, some aren't.
I think passion and curiosity are sexy. There's overlap with geek/nerd there. But geek/ nerd also encompasses other things. Some prominent aspects of the culture - the sometimes held idea that they are the most supremely logical beings and all others are wrong - make me as dry as the fucking Sahara. Fuck all of that and I stay away from those people. |

I also think that the meaning of geek/nerd has been diluted over time. Now it's like anything else - a membership of a club you can buy. Capitalism ruining everything and all that jazz.
Some very loud geeks/nerds are as much geeks/nerds as I am a runner, because I own running shoes. (I am not a runner unless there's a tiger involved) |
