Ego? No. I know my "place" in the world based upon society standards (in general, I don't mean just looks). I know I'm not for everyone, I know I'm nothing special to but a few. I know there is always a bigger fish.

I don't think I do and I'd hate it if I appeared as having one, as I hate it when people come across all 'i am attractive, I have a fabulous arse/boobs/cock/foot whatever, I'm lucky with how I look' said offhand as if it's a real fact. When it isn't.
But that's my opinion. I am happy with certain parts of me, be it personality traits or physicality but there are tonnes that I'm not and that's fine. But I'll not push my opinions about myself in forums/updates etc, people can make up their own mind without me professing this, that or the other.

I'm not sure "Truth" is a knowable concept (why should it fit into patterns humans recognise?), but I'd be surprised if the god-less reality of existence is so basic it needs to punish you that readily.
