What do you do if you have a fwb who you really like as a friend but the sex is really disappointing? Kind of a difficult subject to broach.

Communicate what you would really like him to do to make the sex better.

Keep them as a friend

If you don’t enjoy something why would you keep doing it?

Wouldn't bother with the sex and just be friends or tell them you aren't compatible and try different things.

Don't dodge.

Be kind. Tell them that the sexual compatibility isn't there for you but you still enjoy their company.

No point lying about it. Don't make yourself feel shit by having sex you don't want for the sake of someone else's feelings.

Sometimes hurting someone's feelings is unavoidable. You can only do it as nicely and unambiguously as possible leaving no room for misunderstanding

You're not here for sympathy sex, crap sex or sex you don't like. You're fwb so you should have a decent enough relationship to say you are after different things.

Being a fwb suggests you've an established relationship of sorts.

So I think he'd smart from now being told you don't enjoy having sex with him

Communicate with them, on all levels.

Explain that the sex isn’t doing what it could for you and have a chat about why that is and if it could be remedied.

Who knows, maybe they are in the same boat.
