The site looks like it’s stuck in 2007  . I think the company that owns just runs with what people still pay for. So no point in paying developers to bring it up to the modern world.
Add in the site is mostly populated by middle age people plus they prefer non swipe / tik tok styles |

Like with evolution, there's no need for something to change if the environment isn't.
The site may be dated, shoddy, ineffective for swinging and stuck in the past, but as long as we continue to pay for it and use it, why should it try harder? |

For what it is worth - I think the site works well at what it does.
If you want swipes and stuff then there are loads of places that do that. Go hang out there.
The site could do with a new lick of paint but at the same time I don’t really think it is terminal and I kind of like the fact that it is different to so much of the rest of the interweb. |

A "proper" mobile app top of my list!
But followed up by making it look less 1990s, more sophisticated search, better messaging functionality, or expose an API so others can do the above and add further features. |

Also noticed our profile views decrease by 1 a couple of times today, it was on the highly memorable 111, then after a DM, i click home and it's 110, i could swear it happened a couple of hours earlier too. |
