"The Choose Your Own Adventure books that I think you had to send away in weetabix coupons in the 1980s x"
I loved them too.
And a copy of The Dambusters that my Grandpa gave to me. |

A necklace of raindrops and other stories by Joan akin. I saved up my 10p a weeksl book club stamps to buy it at school. Found a copy at a street sale when my daughter was young and we still have it. Great illustrations by Jan pienkowski |

Titz Towers, North Notts |
I've still got all of my books from back then. A good book doesn't stop being a good book.
My favourites were by Robert Westall.
The Machine Gunners was fantastic, but his ghost stories were even better. |

Sting of the Dump
Woof!
So many Roald Dahl and Judy Blume
Joe Deaver’s Lone Wolf series (like fighting fantasy) and the Knightmare ones (based on the kids game show)
I read The Hobbit over and over and I had a library of abridged classics like Oliver Twist, Robinson Crusoe and Journey to the centre of the Earth. There were 12 total and I read them over and over too |

Somewhere in Co. Down |
The famous five
The secret seven
The lion the witch and the wardrobe
The faraway tree
Mallory towers
Nancy drew
The hardy boys
The growing pains of Adrian Mole
The wind in the willows
The adventures of Tom Sayer
The adventures of Huckleberry Finn
The hobbit.
I loved reading from an early age. The very first book I remember reading was a gift from my mum and it was the three little pigs.

They are worth a fortune now xx"
Mine are very well loved! I used the scoring sheets and whatnot. They look loads better than the nearer editions! |

Charlotte's Web
The velveteen rabbit
And The happy Prince are all books I cannot read without crying. All have a similar theme about friendship and self sacrifice and all turn me into a blubbering wreck. |
